Belief Capital

About

Belief Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm built around high-conviction, concentrated investing. Founded as a solo GP firm, Belief Capital was created to partner closely with a small number of founders from the very beginning and stay aligned across the full lifecycle of a company. The firm is positioned as an alternative to high-volume seed funds, prioritizing depth, ownership, and long-term trust over portfolio breadth.

Belief Capital focuses on deeply technical startups building foundational technology.

The firm targets companies operating in artificial intelligence, robotics, and core infrastructure, backing founders working on hard problems with long time horizons.

Its mandate centers on systems-level innovation rather than incremental software or fast-following applications.

Fund

Belief Capital closed its inaugural fund at $20 million in December 2025. The fund is purposefully structured to remain small and concentrated, with a target portfolio of approximately 10 to 15 companies. Belief typically writes initial checks between $500,000 and $3 million, aiming to acquire meaningful ownership stakes of 5 to 10 percent at the pre-seed or seed stage.

A significant portion of the fund is reserved for follow-on investments, allowing Belief to continue backing its highest-conviction companies through later rounds.

The LP base includes experienced venture capitalists, fund-of-funds, and repeat founders, providing institutional credibility while maintaining flexibility and speed at the early stage.

Other Information

Leadership

Belief Capital is led by Kevin Costa, a solo general partner with prior investing experience and a strong network across European and US tech ecosystems. Costa operates without an investment committee, enabling fast decision-making and direct founder relationships from first check onward.

Investment Strategy

The firm’s strategy is centered on conviction-led investing and long-term alignment. Belief Capital rejects the model of treating early-stage investments as options for later rounds. Instead, it commits meaningful capital early and builds close working relationships with founders from day one. The firm actively sources founders through online technical communities, referrals, and proximity to top academic institutions, particularly around engineering and research-driven talent hubs.

Notable Investments

As a first-time fund, Belief Capital’s portfolio is still emerging. Early investments are focused on AI-native teams, robotics-driven platforms, and infrastructure-layer companies led by young, highly technical founders building category-defining technology.

Notable Exits

Belief Capital has no exits to date given the recent vintage of its first fund.

Other
Belief Capital is highly selective and founder-first by design. The firm typically works with young, deeply technical teams, often early in their careers, and expects long-term ambition and commitment.

Belief is best suited for founders looking for a single high-conviction partner rather than a large syndicate, and for companies that require patience, technical depth, and sustained support over many years.
