BNVT Capital is a global venture capital firm founded in 2025 by Rory Mounsey-Heysham, formerly of the Gates Foundation, and Chris Corbishley, formerly of Hedosophia. With offices in London, New York, and Riyadh, the firm positions itself as a pioneer in “Benevolent Disruption,” the belief that solving humanity’s largest problems is also the greatest economic opportunity.
The firm invests in AI-first and technology-driven companies tackling large-scale challenges in sectors such as climate, energy, commerce, and financial services.
Its strategy centers on companies that are not addressing incremental improvements, but instead developing transformative solutions with potential to redefine entire markets.
BNVT Capital launched its debut €126 million fund in September 2025. This fund is built on proprietary research in collaboration with Harvard Business School, MIT, Oxford University, and VenCap International, which analyzed over 500 VC funds and 14,000 companies across 40 years.
The study revealed that venture-backed companies addressing “big problems” generated 51 percent higher returns than peers. Guided by this data, the fund will target 25 to 30 companies globally over the next two years, with initial investments already made in 11 startups across Europe and the United States.
Leadership
BNVT Capital is led by Rory Mounsey-Heysham and Chris Corbishley as managing partners. Mounsey-Heysham brings experience from the Gates Foundation, where he focused on large-scale impact investments, while Corbishley draws on his track record from Hedosophia. Their combined backgrounds bridge global development, venture capital, and institutional investing.
Investment Strategy
The firm’s strategy is rooted in the Benevolent Disruption framework, which treats global challenges such as climate change, healthcare, and financial inclusion as major markets rather than philanthropic endeavors.
BNVT emphasizes data-driven conviction, global reach, and co-investment alongside top-tier venture firms. Its hands-on approach aims to provide portfolio companies not only with capital but also with access to strategic partners, policy insights, and a deep bench of operators and advisors.

Other
BNVT Capital presents itself as a “third way” in the debate over ESG and capitalism, positioning venture capital as a tool to both achieve market-scale returns and deliver systemic solutions to pressing global problems. The firm emphasizes that it is not pursuing incremental technology or short-term fads but backing companies capable of reshaping society at scale.
