Equitage Ventures

About

Equitage Ventures is a Denver-based early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in companies that address the unmet physical, mental, spiritual, and social needs of older adults. The firm provides capital, distribution, and strategic guidance to entrepreneurs innovating across the senior care continuum, aiming to improve both quality of care and quality of life for older adults. Equitage is led by a team with deep experience in senior care operations, healthcare venture investing, and AgeTech entrepreneurship. Their approach leverages a network of limited partners from senior living, skilled nursing, home health, hospice, healthcare technology, and consumer products sectors to support portfolio companies with market access, strategic partnerships, and talent.

Investment Focus

Equitage Ventures invests in early-stage technology and technology-enabled services companies focused on senior care and aging. The firm is particularly interested in startups addressing urgent challenges and driving long-term transformation in the senior care ecosystem. Key investment areas include compliance infrastructure for senior living and skilled nursing facilities, documentation automation, passive monitoring technologies, oral healthcare delivery, dementia and behavioral health, as well as care navigation and family caregiving. Equitage seeks to partner with companies where it can offer meaningful support beyond capital.

In early 2025, Equitage Ventures closed its inaugural fund with $47.3M to support early-stage investments in senior care and aging. The fund writes checks ranging from $250K to $2.5M and is backed by a diverse group of limited partners, including senior living operators, home health and hospice agencies, healthcare technology companies, healthcare REITs, and a multi-billion-dollar Japanese conglomerate.
