The firm plans to increase its typical check size for initial investments to around $400,000–$600,000 in Fund II, up from $150,000–$250,000 in Fund I. Gilgamesh Ventures aims to invest in companies that leverage AI-native approaches to scale efficiently, with a focus on startups that have the potential to achieve significant growth within 18 months.

Leadership

The firm is led by co-founders Miguel Armaza and Andrew Endicott. Armaza brings experience from his time as a banker at Citi and MUFG, as well as hosting the Fintech Leaders Podcast. Endicott co-founded Petal, a fintech company in the credit card space, and has a background in investment banking and corporate law. Paula You joined the team as a partner in 2022, bringing experience in public and private markets and operations.
