Kiara Capital

About

Kiara Capital is a Miami-based venture capital firm founded in 2023 by seasoned fintech entrepreneurs with a track record of successful exits and investments across Latin America and the United States. The firm operates with a clear geographic and sector focus, backing early-stage B2B fintech startups serving Latin American markets or operating across US-Latin America corridors.

Investment Focus

Kiara Capital targets early-stage B2B fintech startups, from pre-seed to seed stages. The firm prioritizes companies with strong product-market fit, technical and strategic depth, and cross-border potential between Latin America and the United States.

Its geographic reach includes:

  • Brazil
  • Mexico
  • Colombia
  • US-based fintechs serving Latin American clients

Fund

In June 2025, Kiara Capital announced the first close of its inaugural fund, structured in the United States. The fund targets $30 million with the ability to scale up to $40 million.

To date, approximately $2 million has been deployed across five companies. The limited partner base includes fintech founders, bank executives, family offices, and VC professionals with a vested interest in financial innovation.

Notably, Kiara’s founding partners remain the largest investors in the fund, with a commitment to always hold at least 10% of the total capital, ensuring high alignment with LPs. The firm plans to build a high-conviction portfolio of 15 to 20 companies, with initial checks starting at $500,000 and meaningful reserves for follow-on rounds.

Other Information

Leadership

Kiara Capital was co-founded by Michael Esrubilsky and Daniel Arippol.

Esrubilsky has over 25 years of fintech experience and has led four exits in Brazil totaling nearly $1 billion. As an angel and seed investor, he boasts a track record of 14 investments with a 9.8x MOIC and an IRR exceeding 45% in USD.

Arippol brings more than 15 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, and corporate innovation in emerging markets. He has advised high-growth companies across fintech and technology in Latin America and the US.

Investment Strategy

Kiara Capital follows a hands-on, operator-led approach, focusing on founders with deep industry expertise and execution excellence. The firm leans heavily on referrals and network credibility in deal sourcing and works closely with portfolio companies post-investment.

With reserves for follow-ons and a preference for startups at the intersection of innovation and practical financial impact, Kiara seeks to be an active partner from day one. They believe that the current market cycle, marked by favorable valuations and a founder flight to quality, creates strong conditions for early-stage entry.

Notable Investments

Its broader portfolio includes startups based in:

Notable Exits
