The Quantum Technologies Fund is a newly launched £100 million venture capital vehicle targeted for first close in 2026.
The fund is designed to support quantum innovation across the full lifecycle, allocating capital from pre seed to later stage rounds. Approximately two thirds of the capital will be dedicated to UK based ventures or international companies with meaningful UK engagement, reinforcing national leadership in quantum science and commercialization
The fund builds on Quantum Exponential’s 3.5 year investment track record, which includes managing a portfolio of eight revenue generating quantum companies. Its investment strategy targets an IRR of 25 to 33 percent, aiming to position the vehicle within the top quartile of deep tech funds globally.
Fundraising momentum is supported by an anchor Letter of Intent from a prominent Silicon Valley investor, signaling strong international confidence in the UK quantum market.
Through a formal partnership with the Harwell Quantum Cluster, the fund will gain prioritized access to early stage venture pipelines, ecosystem events, R&D assets, and national laboratories, enabling differentiated sourcing and technical diligence.
The firm expects the Quantum Technologies Fund to become a central instrument for bridging the funding gap that often slows quantum commercialization in the UK, while also connecting global investors to the country’s fast growing quantum sector.
