VentureIsrael is a Tel Aviv-based venture capital firm focused on accelerating the next generation of deeptech and FutureTech innovation emerging from Israel’s robust startup ecosystem. Founded by Managing Partners Rafael Gold and Gadi Isaev, the firm partners with technical founders building cutting-edge solutions across both civilian and defense-aligned sectors. With a thesis centred on breakthrough science, infrastructure innovation, and frontier technologies, VentureIsrael stands out for its fast-cycle investment model and laser focus on transformational Israeli tech.
VentureIsrael backs early-stage startups across deeptech and FutureTech verticals, with a priority on Series A investments.
Approximately 70% of its capital is directed toward core deeptech domains such as:
The remaining 30% is reserved for moonshot FutureTech areas, including quantum computing, space innovation, and neuroscience. The firm favors startups with defensible IP, highly technical founding teams, and long-term global market potential.
It maintains sector flexibility but is deeply aligned with Israel’s national strength in scientific R&D and commercial innovation.
In May 2025, VentureIsrael announced the launch of its second fund, VentureIsrael 2, with a target size of $25 million.
This “fast-cycle” fund is built on a unique 12–18 month deployment period and a five-year total lifespan, half the duration of a traditional early-stage vehicle.
The fund structure is intentionally lean, enabling a greater share of capital to flow directly into startups rather than operational overhead. Backed by both returning LPs and new investors, the fund will invest in approximately 20 startups and is already partially deployed with four early investments.
These include:
The fund reflects VentureIsrael’s commitment to identifying underappreciated breakthroughs early and accelerating their paths to global relevance.
Leadership
VentureIsrael’s founding partners bring a mix of venture, technical, and policy insight into highly specialized verticals. The firm takes a proactive, hands-on approach with founders and leverages deep networks in both the Israeli tech and international deeptech ecosystems.
With an emphasis on short feedback loops and capital efficiency, VentureIsrael's fast-cycle model is designed to match the pace of innovation in hard tech domains. Its flexible structure also enables earlier liquidity options in industries known for longer commercialization timelines.
