Viola Ventures invests in early-stage technology startups, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-driven and infrastructure-heavy businesses.

The firm focuses on vertical and enterprise AI, fintech, AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, quantum technologies, and defense-related software and systems. Its investment thesis centers on technically ambitious companies solving mission-critical problems for large organizations and regulated industries.

Fund

Viola Ventures recently closed approximately $250 million across two vehicles: its flagship early-stage fund, Viola Ventures 7, and the newly launched Viola Conviction Fund I. Viola Ventures 7 represents the majority of the capital raised and is dedicated to seed, Series A, and incubation-stage investments.

The fund is designed to support the next generation of Israeli and globally oriented technology startups, with a clear focus on AI-led enterprise transformation and deep infrastructure. In parallel, Viola Conviction Fund I raised around $100 million and was fully deployed through secondary transactions in standout portfolio companies, allowing Viola to increase exposure to its highest-performing assets.

Together, the two funds reflect a barbell strategy combining early-stage creation with concentrated ownership in proven winners. The new funds are supported by a mix of institutional capital and senior global operators, reinforcing Viola’s long-term positioning as a high-conviction early-stage investor.

Other Information

Leadership

Viola Ventures 7 is led by Managing Partners Omry Ben David and Zvika Orron, alongside co-founder and Managing Partner Shlomo Dovrat. The investment team also includes Partner Alex Shmulovich, Principals Tal Abuloff and Alon Cinnamon, and Analyst Assaf Shriber. Avi Zeevi, co-founder of the Viola Group, remains actively involved as a mentor, investment committee member, and board participant across portfolio companies.

Investment Strategy

Viola Ventures leads and co-leads seed and Series A rounds, often working with founders at the ideation or incubation stage. The firm takes an active role on boards and supports companies through product-market fit, enterprise sales, and global scaling.

A key differentiator is Viola’s operational platform, including Viola Velocity, which connects founders to a curated network of more than 500 Fortune 500 executives who can act as early customers, design partners, and strategic advisors. Viola also recently launched its Leadership Circle, a group of global CEOs and founders who invest in the fund and directly support portfolio companies.

Notable Investments

Viola Ventures has backed numerous high-impact technology companies across enterprise software, fintech, cybersecurity, and infrastructure. Its extended network includes founders and executives behind companies such as:

  • Mellanox
  • IronSource
  • Redis
  • Payoneer
  • Via

They reflect Viola’s deep ties to Israel’s most successful technology outcomes and its continued focus on building globally relevant platforms.

Notable Exits

The firm’s ecosystem is closely associated with major exits including Mellanox, acquired by NVIDIA, and IronSource, acquired by Unity, among others across the broader Viola Group portfolio. These outcomes have reinforced Viola Ventures’ reputation as a long-term partner capable of supporting companies from inception to large-scale liquidity events.

Other

Viola Ventures is highly selective and deeply hands-on. The firm is particularly well-suited for teams building complex enterprise or infrastructure products that require long sales cycles, strong design partners, and early access to global decision-makers. Viola’s combination of early-stage focus, secondary capital, and senior operator access is uncommon and can be a meaningful advantage for companies aiming to scale fast beyond Israel.
