Unlock the full databaseDeeptech has become one of the busiest areas in venture capital this year. So far in 2026, 109 funds that list deeptech as a focus have launched or closed, raising around $34.9 billion between the funds that disclosed a size. A few very large multi-stage firms account for a big share of that, including Sequoia Capital at $7 billion, Founders Fund at $6 billion, Accel at $3.5 billion and Greylock at $1.5 billion.
Most deeptech funds are much smaller and more specialised. The median fund on this list is around $96 million, and 15 funds raised less than $25 million, including Project Ventures in the United Kingdom and Final Frontier in Denmark. Specialist funds like these tend to understand long development timelines and technical risk, which matters for founders building hardware, new materials or science-based products.
The United States has 38 funds on the list, and Europe is unusually strong in this sector. The United Kingdom has 17 funds, Germany 8 and Denmark 5, with more in France, Italy and India.
Deeptech overlaps heavily with other focus areas. 60 of these funds also list AI, 21 list defense and dual-use technology, and 14 list climate tech. June was the busiest month so far, with 21 new deeptech funds announced.
The 100 most recently announced funds are listed below with their headquarters, fund size and announcement month. EverythingStartups members can search all of them and also see each fund's check size, stage focus, partner names and direct contact details.
