Begin Capital's second fund, Fund II, doubles down on founders solving hard technical problems in deep tech, including AI infrastructure, hardware and silicon, and physical AI.
The firm invests globally but focuses on European tech talent, writing small, flexible first checks of $500,000 to $8 million from pre-seed through Series A, then building ownership in its strongest companies over time.

What the fund looks for in founders and which sectors it backs.
Begin Capital has raised $100 million for Fund II, its second deep tech fund, after its debut fund, Season 1, launched in 2020 and made 28 investments.
Fund II has already backed nine companies, including All3, SurrealDB, AregAI, Crewline, xmemory, DesignVerse, Zencoder, and Tomorrow Things, plus one company still in stealth.
The fund also counts several of its own Fund I founders as venture partners, including Flaviu Radulescu, co-founder and CEO of Runware, Elias Schneider, CEO of Codesphere, and Dan Lifshits, co-founder of Dwelly, alongside other founders who invested as limited partners.

Investment Strategy
Begin Capital writes checks of $500,000 to $8 million from pre-seed through Series A, looking for founders it describes as "Pirates," "Winners," and "Robots."
The firm pairs founders with partners who specialize in either narrative-driven or numbers-driven pitches, treating ideas as hypotheses to be tested and expressed in numbers.
