Bosch is providing $112 million in fresh capital to launch Spark, a new venture capital fund that will begin investing on January 1, 2027.
The fund is managed by Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH (Bosch Ventures) and is funded directly by the Bosch Group rather than through outside limited partners.
It builds on Bosch Ventures' nearly two decades of startup investing and its existing work with German companies, and runs alongside the firm's broader global funds, including its sixth global fund, launched in 2025.

Spark is backed by Bosch under the leadership of Dr. Christian Fischer, Chairman of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH, and managed within Bosch Ventures under Dr. Ingo Ramesohl, Managing Director of Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH.
Investment Strategy
Spark provides seed and early-stage financing to German deep-tech startups, with follow-on capital available for portfolio companies in later rounds.
Through Bosch's Open Bosch initiative, Spark-backed founders can connect with Bosch business units to explore commercial partnerships and apply their technologies within Bosch's operations. Check sizes have not been disclosed.
