Constructor Capital

About

Constructor Capital is a Swiss-based venture capital firm and the investment arm of the broader Constructor Group ecosystem. The firm was created to support science-first founders building research-intensive companies with strong technical foundations. Constructor Capital operates at the intersection of academia and venture investing, focusing on translating advanced scientific research into scalable, commercial businesses.

Fund

Constructor Capital closed its first institutional fund, Fund I, at $110 million in early 2026. The fund is designed to back seed and Series A companies that originate from rigorous scientific research and often sit outside the comfort zone of traditional venture capital. Fund I leverages the Constructor Group’s global ecosystem, which includes more than 50 partner universities, dedicated research laboratories, an equity-free accelerator program, and platforms focused on applied innovation.

This structure allows Constructor Capital to embed scientific expertise directly into sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio support. The fund typically leads or co-leads investments, writing initial checks of $1 million to $10 million, with the flexibility to make select investments of up to $15 million and reserve capital for follow-on rounds. Fund I invests globally, with activity spanning Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia, reflecting the international nature of academic research and advanced technology development.
