Creandum is a Stockholm-based early-stage venture capital firm with a generalist thesis, backing founders from pre-seed through Series A.
The firm expects artificial intelligence to drive much of its opportunity going forward, investing behind the view that the biggest companies get founded when underlying technology shifts are reshaping software and enterprise markets.
Creandum writes larger-than-typical early-stage checks, with average initial investments well above the early-stage norm, and plans around 30 investments over the life of Fund VIII, split evenly between new companies and follow-on rounds.
The firm invests across Europe and the United States, and is tripling its San Francisco team over the next two years to serve American founders directly and help European companies expand into the US market.
