
Eka Ventures is a London-based impact venture capital firm founded in 2018 by Jon Coker, Camilla Dolan, and Andrew Richardson. The firm invests in early-stage UK companies building solutions in health and wellbeing, sustainability, and financial inclusion. With Fund II, Eka has become the largest early-stage impact VC in the UK.
Eka invests across three interconnected themes. In health and wellbeing, the firm backs companies focused on preventative healthcare and underserved conditions. In sustainability, they target startups working on the decarbonization of major consumer industries and the reduction of waste. In financial inclusion, Eka supports technology-enabled businesses bringing essential products and services like insurance and housing to underserved populations.
Eka Ventures Fund II closed at GBP 80 million (approximately USD 107 million) in April 2026. The fund will back up to 30 UK pre-seed and seed-stage companies, with an average first investment of around USD 2 million. Eka leads or co-leads approximately 90% of its deals and maintains meaningful reserves for follow-on investment.
The fund's LP base includes the British Business Bank, Better Society Capital, Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation, The Health Foundation, WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme), Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, John Ellerman Foundation, and Vivensa Foundation. Fund II has already backed seven companies including Hesta Health, Cyclana Bio, Conveyed, DITTO Daily, and Chune.
Leadership
Jon Coker is Co-Founder and Managing Partner. Before founding Eka, he served as Managing Partner at MMC Ventures, where he spent over a decade investing in consumer technology.
Camilla Dolan is Co-Founder and Partner. She also came from MMC Ventures, where she invested in consumer-facing technology companies. She has been recognized for her work at the intersection of venture capital and impact investing.
Andrew Richardson is Co-Founder and Partner. Together with Coker and Dolan, he combines over 30 years of venture capital experience, with a track record that includes backing Gousto, Bloom & Wild, and Interactive Investor.
