EUREKA! Venture SGR is an independent Milan-based asset management company founded in 2019, supervised by the Bank of Italy and Consob. The firm specializes in deep tech and technology transfer investing, backing spin-offs, startups, and innovative SMEs developing proprietary, high-barrier-to-entry technologies for international markets. EUREKA! Venture has raised more than $215M across five funds to date.
EUREKA! Venture invests in early-stage and growth-phase deep tech companies across Italy, with a particular focus on Lazio through Eureka! Fund II - Deep Tech Lazio, alongside national scouting activity.
The fund backs proprietary technologies and intellectual property with high technological barriers to entry across climate change and energy transition, sustainability and the circular economy, advanced manufacturing, mobility, infrastructure, security and defense, and longevity.
Within its "STEP Technologies" thesis, the firm targets advanced manufacturing, robotics, AI and Physical AI, quantum technologies, and materials science.
Portfolio companies span spin-offs, startups, and innovative SMEs undergoing industrial validation and scaling.
EUREKA! Venture closed Eureka! Fund II - Deep Tech Lazio at a first close of $22.7M, anchored by Lazio Innova, the regional development agency of Lazio, which committed $18.1M (roughly 80% of the fund).
Additional limited partners include a pension fund and an industrial engineering competency center. The fund succeeds Eureka! Fund I - Technology Transfer, launched in 2020, and uses an asymmetric profit/loss distribution mechanism that favors private investors.
EUREKA! Venture has raised over $215M across five funds since its founding in 2019.
