Final Frontier is a Copenhagen-based venture capital firm investing in space, defence and cyber technology for European strategic autonomy. Founded by Niels Vejrup Carlsen, the firm has united with Myriad Venture Partners, co-founded by Klaus Nyengaard and Alexander Aghassipour, to operate as one combined platform under the Final Frontier brand.
Final Frontier backs early-stage founders building space, defence and cyber technology for an independent Europe, with particular interest in teams that already have working prototypes ready for real-world deployment.
The firm invests across satellite systems, propulsion, drones, cybersecurity and autonomous platforms, with a geographic focus on the New Nordics and Ukraine and a broader reach across more than 27 European countries.
Final Frontier invests at the pre-seed and seed stages, writing first checks of $100,000 to $500,000.
Final Frontier and Myriad Venture Partners have united under the Final Frontier brand, combining Final Frontier's original $5.2 million fund with Myriad's $2.3 million defence fund into one platform with a combined portfolio of 15 companies.
The firms are now raising Final Frontier Fund II, targeting $115.6 million, with a first close expected by the end of 2026.
Backers include Anders Fogh Rasmussen, former NATO Secretary General, and one of the largest sovereign funds in the Nordics.
Leadership
Niels Vejrup Carlsen is Founding Partner of Final Frontier, previously a General Partner at Seed Capital.
Klaus Nyengaard, co-founder of Myriad Venture Partners, previously led Just Eat from 35 employees through its IPO and has held CEO, chairman and co-founder roles at companies including Treatwell and LetsBuild.
Alexander Aghassipour, also a Myriad co-founder, co-founded Zendesk and led it from startup through its $1.7 billion IPO and $10.2 billion acquisition. Nima Tisdall, a Myriad director, is set to join as an operating partner on Fund II.
