FinSight Ventures has launched the FinSight Physical AI Index Fund, a $100 million vehicle the firm describes as the first institutional fund dedicated exclusively to Physical AI.
The fund holds a concentrated portfolio of 10 to 12 companies across robotics, AI for science, the foundation layer, and hardware and infrastructure, and targets an aggregate market capitalization of $5.7 trillion by 2031.
Founder Alexey Garyunov frames the thesis around a structural labor shortage, citing UN projections that the working-age population across East Asia, Europe, and the US will shrink by 342 million people by 2050, a group that represents roughly 55% of global GDP.
The fund is FinSight's second thematic index vehicle, following its Gen AI Index Fund.
