About

Forbion is a global life sciences venture capital firm headquartered in Naarden, the Netherlands, with additional offices in Munich and Boston. Founded two decades ago, the firm invests across the full lifecycle of biopharmaceutical innovation, backing therapeutics companies from company creation through late-stage growth. Forbion has financed 142 companies to date and manages roughly $8.4 billion in assets across 12 funds.

Investment Focus

Forbion invests across the full continuum of biopharmaceutical innovation, from company creation to late-stage growth. Forbion Ventures Fund VIII builds and backs innovative therapeutics-focused biotech companies, both newly founded and existing, addressing high unmet medical needs.

Forbion Growth Opportunities Fund IV targets later-stage biopharma companies in Europe and North America developing novel therapies for serious diseases.

Beyond human health, Forbion also invests in planetary health through its separate BioEconomy strategy, backing biotechnologies and green chemistries that scale industrial sustainability.
