The firm was the first institutional investor in more than 25 companies including Relevance AI, Andromeda, Kite Magnetics and Tixel, and reached the first close of its second fund, Fund II, at $15 million toward a $30 million target in August 2026.
Galileo Ventures is a first-cheque, pre-seed and seed investor, writing the initial institutional check into emerging founders across AI, robotics, enterprise software and deeptech.
The firm positions itself as an operator-led fund, all three partners have direct founder or operator experience, and structures Fund II as a ten-year, closed-end vehicle with reserves set aside for follow-on investment into winners, rather than spreading capital thinly across a large number of one-off bets.
Geographically the firm is anchored in Australia (Sydney and Melbourne) with a San Francisco office bridging portfolio companies into US customers, capital and talent from day one.
Galileo Ventures has raised $15 million toward a targeted $30 million second fund (Fund II), reaching first close in August 2026 with commitments for half the target.
Innovation Victoria is a cornerstone investor in the first close, alongside Artesian Capital, US venture investor Brad Feld, Michael Donahue, New Zealand's Andy Hamilton, and Lorne Capital's Nicola Kaldor.
Fund II's first investment was a $350,000 check into brain-interface startup Fluent BCI. The fund targets a portfolio of 30 companies.
Fund I, the firm's debut vehicle, ranks in the top decile of its vintage with 26+ investments and has attracted more than $200 million in co-investment capital.
