Kalos Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm focused on technology companies addressing critical infrastructure needs across workforce, care and education. Led by Managing Partner Ashley Bittner, the New York City-based firm invests with conviction, leading early-stage rounds in companies built by experienced founders with unique insight into the challenges and opportunities created by AI transformation and shifting U.S. demographics. Kalos' approach is grounded in long-term partnerships beyond capital, offering advisory on capital formation, ecosystem building and talent strategy to scale portfolio companies.
Kalos invests at the intersection of two converging macro forces: AI-driven transformation of the economy and rapid U.S. demographic change. Over the next two to three years, 50–55% of U.S. jobs will be reshaped by AI, and by 2034, older adults will outnumber children for the first time in U.S. history. Within this context, the firm backs companies in three sectors: workforce (future of work, HRtech, labor markets), care (aging in place, home health, care infrastructure), and education (workforce training, edtech, skills development).
Kalos announced its oversubscribed $78.8 million inaugural fund. The fund's investors include ZOMA Capital, GCM Grosvenor, MassMutual, Sorenson Impact Advisory, and Pivotal Ventures, a Melinda French Gates organization. The fund is targeting a minimum of 15 investments, leading rounds at Seed+ and Series A, with a concentrated, high-conviction portfolio approach.
