Linse Capital is a venture capital firm headquartered in San Juan, Puerto Rico, founded in 2015 by Michael Linse and Bastiaan Janmaat. The firm invests in deep tech companies across space, robotics, energy, mobility, defense, and AI, backing companies from seed stage through exit. Since inception, Linse Capital has raised more than $1.7 billion and invested in 23 companies, including nine growth-stage and fourteen early-stage investments.
Linse Capital invests across the full company lifecycle, from seed stage to exit, with its core thesis spanning space, robotics, energy, mobility, defense, and artificial intelligence.
The firm targets technology companies transforming industrial and infrastructure markets.
The firm's flagship growth-stage strategy writes concentrated checks of $100 million to $400 million per company, aiming to become one of the largest shareholders in each portfolio company.
Its new Ignition strategy extends this same thesis to seed- and early-stage companies.
In October 2026, Linse Capital launched Linse Ignition, a new early-stage strategy comprising a $75 million fund alongside $75 million in co-investment vehicles, for a combined $150 million.
The strategy extends Linse Capital's deep tech thesis into earlier-stage investing, backing seed- and early-stage companies in space, robotics, energy, mobility, defense, and AI alongside the firm's existing growth-stage flagship fund, which has previously backed companies such as Impulse Space and Verkada.

Investment Strategy
Linse Capital takes a concentrated approach to deep tech investing, historically targeting a small number of growth-stage industrial technology companies each year with checks of $100 million to $400 million, aiming to become one of the largest shareholders in each business.
The firm's new Ignition strategy extends this thesis to seed- and early-stage companies, writing checks of roughly $1 million to $5 million across space, robotics, energy, mobility, defense, and AI.
Since inception in 2015, the firm has raised more than $1.7 billion and backed nine growth-stage and fourteen early-stage companies.
