Mamor Capital Ventures is a Black women-owned and managed venture capital firm based in Midrand, South Africa. Founded by Mamokete Ramathe, the firm applies institutional investment discipline to back South African technology companies that expand access to digital and financial services.
Mamor Capital Ventures invests in post-revenue South African technology companies operating in telecoms tech (broadband, internet, IoT, 5G), payments tech (processing, gateways, security, wallets, POS), digital trade (online marketplaces, ecommerce), and sustainable tech (energy efficiency, water management, waste management, sustainable farming).
The firm targets companies from seed to pre-Series A that demonstrate commercial traction, paying customers, and a realistic path to profitability, applying a gender lens to support underrepresented founders. Investments are limited to South Africa-based entities structured as equity instruments.
Mamor Capital Ventures reached a first close of ~$18.6M in August 2026 for its debut vehicle, Fund 1, and is targeting a final close of $34M.
The raise took more than three years to complete. The Public Investment Corporation (PIC), South Africa's largest asset manager, anchored the fund.
Other investors include the High Impact Seed Fund of Funds (managed by the SA SME Fund), the Technology Innovation Agency, and the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency.
