What the fund looks for in founders and which sectors it backs.
Masia has closed its debut fund at $20.2 million.
The fund is backed by more than 70 limited partners, including tech founders, executives, and experienced investors, plus two institutional investors.
Since 2025, Masia has invested in 46 companies representing 60 founders, including Biorce, an AI platform for clinical trials that raised a $52 million Series A, and Prosper AI, a patient-journey management startup that raised $30 million led by a16z.
Alongside the new fund, Masia has opened Masia House, a roughly 1,000-square-meter, four-floor space in Barcelona's Gràcia neighborhood with workspaces, meeting rooms, and accommodation for visiting investors, with a ground-floor community project for the city's wider frontier tech ecosystem planned for the first quarter of 2027.
