Mighty Capital

About

Mighty Capital is a San Francisco-based venture capital firm founded in 2018 by SC Moatti and Jennifer Vancini. The firm focuses on early-stage B2B technology companies and has closed its third fund, Mighty Capital Fund III, at $91 million. The firm targets what it calls the Discovery Stage — companies at early growth inflection points before they reach scale — and has produced a track record that includes six IPOs in eight years, generating over $1 billion in value, with top-decile DPI and TVPI metrics across its funds.

Investment Focus

Mighty Capital invests in early-stage B2B technology companies with a specific focus on the period just before hyper-growth. The firm looks for companies in enterprise software, developer tools, data infrastructure, and AI where product-market fit is emerging and the primary challenge is scaling go-to-market. Mighty Capital has particular depth in companies building for technical buyers and large enterprise customers, shaped by the founders' backgrounds in product leadership at Meta and other major technology platforms.

Fund

Mighty Capital Fund III closed at $91 million, the firm's largest fund to date. The fund continues the firm's Discovery Stage thesis, targeting early-stage B2B technology companies at average entry valuations of $15 to $30 million with average initial checks of approximately $2 million.

Fund III builds on the track record of Funds I and II, which together produced six IPOs in eight years — including Amplitude (AMPL) and Netskope — and delivered top-decile DPI and TVPI. The fund is designed to be concentrated, giving the team the ability to add meaningful value at the board and strategic level with each investment.

Investment Strategy

‍Mighty Capital targets the Discovery Stage of B2B technology company development, typically entering at Series A or early Series B with initial checks averaging $2 million at valuations of $15 to $30 million. The firm leads rounds and takes board seats, offering hands-on support to portfolio companies on go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and enterprise customer acquisition. The fund's concentrated portfolio structure means the partners can engage deeply with each company.

‍Mighty Capital's portfolio includes enterprise software and AI companies that have reached significant scale:

  • Amplitude (AMPL — public)
  • Netskope (on IPO track)
  • Groq

Notable Exits

  • Amplitude (Nasdaq: AMPL)
  • Netskope

Other

‍Mighty Capital's track record of six IPOs in eight years from a concentrated early-stage portfolio is one of the strongest performance signals for a firm of its vintage. The Discovery Stage thesis is differentiated by its focus on the specific growth inflection point before hyperscale. Founders raising Series A or early Series B in B2B technology — particularly enterprise software, data, or AI — who want a partner with deep product and platform experience should put Mighty Capital on their list.
