MoE Capital is a San Francisco-based pre-seed and seed venture fund founded by Henry Yin and Naomi (Yue) Xia, both co-founders of AGI House, the Bay Area AI research community and founder house that has been a proximity hub for frontier AI researchers and builders. MoE stands for Mixture of Experts, the architecture behind today's most powerful AI systems. The fund is deeply embedded in the communities where new AI categories emerge; frontier researchers, technical founders, AI-native builders, and operators.
MoE Capital invests in agentic infrastructure and AI for Science, the foundational layer enabling reliable, autonomous AI systems, and the emerging application of AI agents to scientific discovery.
Core focus areas include training orchestration, reinforcement learning pipelines, evaluation and safety tooling, RAG and memory systems, cost-efficient inference, and AI-native applications where autonomous agents drive the core experience.
The fund explicitly avoids investing downstream of obvious trends, backing companies before their category has a name.

LP composition is not publicly disclosed beyond the fund's expert network of frontier researchers and AI product leaders, many of whom are also LPs, collaborators, and advisors.
Leadership
Henry Yin is Co-Founder and General Partner. He is Co-founder and CTO of AGI House, creator of Apache DevLake (Apache Software Foundation), and a PhD dropout from UC Berkeley with a BS from Tsinghua University. He previously co-founded Merico.
Naomi (Yue) Xia is Co-Founder and General Partner. She is an Investment Partner at AGI House with deep roots in the frontier AI research and founder community.

The fund's sourcing advantage comes from deep embeddedness in the communities where AI capabilities emerge first: frontier researchers at OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, and Google DeepMind; technical founders; and AI-native operators.

The fund writes concentrated, high-conviction checks at pre-seed and seed.
