Nomi Capital is a boutique investment firm focused on late-stage venture capital, combining the entrepreneurial spirit of Silicon Valley with the discipline of over a decade of experience investing in private markets. Founded in 2024 and based in New York, the firm targets defense and dual-use technology companies at their inflection point, moving from the R&D phase to real revenue generation. With the close of Fund I, Nomi Capital surpasses $100 million in AUM across 24 investments, almost exactly two years after its founding.
Nomi focuses on five core domains: Autonomy & Unmanned Systems, AI & Communications, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Space Technologies, and Energy & Power. Manufacturing is the area the firm is most focused on and expects to have the largest exposure to. The firm occupies a specific niche, Series B and beyond, sitting between early-stage defense VCs and large traditional growth investors who only step in at the mega-round level.
Nomi Defense Fund I closed at $50 million, raised in under six months from November 2025, and is oversubscribed. Over $20 million has already been deployed into a concentrated portfolio of six companies, with another four investments targeted before year-end, for a total of approximately ten positions. Check sizes range from $2 million to $10 million, with the ability to flex up or down meaningfully on high-conviction deals.
The LP base comprises around 150 high-net-worth investors, family offices, and Registered Investment Advisors, a base built from Jason Zins' decade at SkyBridge Capital. The firm characterizes this as a feature: LPs move fast on co-investments, hold for the long term, and don't require committee approval to act.

Investment Strategy
Nomi does not invest at the early stage, pre-product, or pre-revenue. The firm targets companies at their inflection point , Series B onward, where capital can accelerate a transition from R&D to revenue generation. The portfolio is intentionally concentrated, targeting around ten positions per fund. Founders deal directly with the two partners who make investment decisions.
