Norrsken Launcher backs early-stage deep tech companies in Europe built around breakthrough science and engineering, primarily in climate, energy, materials, health, and industrial technology.
The fund targets innovations that are technically validated but not yet commercially structured, typically researcher-founded or spinout-stage, and takes hands-on operational involvement from day one to build the companies from the ground up alongside their founders.

The raise was completed in a matter of months.
LPs include Saminvest AB (~$17.6M / ~160M SEK committed, the fund's first institutional LP), alongside family offices across Europe and individual investors including King co-founder Sebastian Knutsson, Mojang co-founder Carl Manneh, financier Staffan Salén, Voi founder Fredrik Hjelm, Mentimeter founder Johnny Warström, and Nordic Capital COO Klas T. Almost all Fund I investors reinvested in Fund II.

Investment Strategy
Norrsken Launcher writes first checks into a highly concentrated set of deep tech companies, then embeds operationally for three to nine months,. building out the founding team, accelerating commercial traction, and establishing the organizational infrastructure needed to scale.
The firm explicitly rejects the diversification model of traditional VC in favor of a hands-on company building approach where the investment team works side-by-side with founders. Fund II will back a similarly small number of companies as Fund I, maintaining the concentrated model that defined the first fund's portfolio.
