NVM Ventures backs pre-seed and seed-stage deeptech startups building dual-use technology across aerospace, maritime, robotics and autonomous systems, cybersecurity, AI for defense, energy infrastructure, new materials, advanced manufacturing, and biotechnology.
The firm's multi-compartment structure lets each sector-specific fund run with its own dedicated investment team and thesis while sharing governance and compliance infrastructure across the platform.
In October 2026, NVM Ventures launched its first compartment, NVM Venture Lazio, with a first close of $26.5 million against a final target of $39.3 million.
The fund plans to back 10 to 15 dual-use deeptech companies.
Lazio Innova, the Lazio Region's investment arm, anchored the fund with a $21.1 million commitment through its Lazio Venture 2 fund-of-funds program, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund's 2021-2027 Regional Programme.
Leadership
NVM Ventures was founded by Andrea Bonabello and Niccolò Bienati, both Founding Partners and Board Members of the fund's General Partner, Ulixes Capital Lux.
NVM Venture Lazio is run by Fund Managers Giorgio Gulienetti and Alessandro Casiraghi, who serve as the compartment's delegated managers.
The team draws on backgrounds in venture capital, corporate finance, technology scaling, and the aerospace and defense sectors.
