Plus Partners is a Barcelona-based pre-seed and seed stage venture capital fund launched in 2024 by Enrique Linares and Oriol Juncosa, respectively a unicorn founder and a veteran seed investor with over 75 startup investments to his name. The fund is managed through Purpose Capital, the regulated management entity approved by Spain's CNMV, and is co-capitalised by public institutional backers and a deliberately curated LP base of successful Spanish tech entrepreneurs who have already built and exited companies.
Plus Partners backs pre-seed and seed stage technology startups across three verticals: Health & Nutrition (AI diagnostics, digital therapeutics, provider software, biotech); Money & Property (open banking, embedded finance, digital assets, PropTech); and Work & Productivity (AI agents, robotics, collaboration tools, continuous learning platforms).
The fund has a particular emphasis on AI-native or AI-enabled companies disrupting large legacy industries. It focuses on Spanish and Southern European founders, with some international scope.
Plus Partners Fund I has surpassed ~$49.5M USD (€45M) in commitments as of May 2026, approaching its ~$55M USD (€50M) hard cap.
The fund received CNMV authorisation approximately one year prior and has since completed six investments. Institutional LPs include the Institut Català de Finances (ICF) and the Sociedad Española para la Transformación Tecnológica (SETT), a public entity under Spain's Ministry for Digital Transformation.
Private LPs include prominent figures from the Spanish tech ecosystem, Philippe Gelis (Kantox), Javier de la Torre (Carto co-founder), and Verónica Pascual (Asti), alongside several family offices.
Leadership
Enrique Linares is Founding Partner. He co-founded letgo. widely credited as the first Spanish startup to achieve unicorn status, backed by Prosus, Accel, Insight Partners, and 14W, and led its New York expansion. Prior to letgo, he co-founded Captalis, a fintech company with significant LatAm operations, which he led from São Paulo.
Oriol Juncosa is Founding Partner. He co-founded Encomenda Smart Capital, served as CFO of Carto from seed to post-Series B (raising over $100M), was a Principal at Nauta Capital, and has invested in more than 75 startups including Cobee (acquired by Pluxee), Holded, and Housfy. He holds an MBA from London Business School.
Investment Strategy
Plus Partners invests at pre-seed and seed stage, targeting founders in their earliest and most operationally isolated moments. Beyond capital, the firm provides hands-on support in three areas: talent acquisition, commercial growth through warm introductions to potential customers, and strategic support for future fundraising rounds. The LP network, composed primarily of operators and founders, is a deliberate strategic asset, giving portfolio companies direct access to mentorship and commercial connections from day one. Check size and ownership targets are not publicly disclosed.
