QuantumLight is a London-based venture capital firm founded in 2023 by Revolut co-founder and CEO Nik Storonsky, run by co-founder and CEO Ilya Kondrashov. The firm uses a proprietary AI system called Aleph to screen and evaluate growth-stage technology investments with limited human involvement, investing globally across AI, fintech, SaaS, healthtech, and deep tech. QuantumLight has backed 27 companies to date, five of which have reached unicorn status, including Together AI, Function Health, Factory, Robin AI, Ben, and Fuse Energy. The firm closed its second fund at $500 million in August 2026, an oversubscribed raise that doubled the size of its $260 million debut fund from May 2025.
QuantumLight applies a systematic, data-led approach to venture investing that it compares to quantitative strategies more commonly used in public markets.
Rather than relying primarily on the traditional partner-led model of sourcing and evaluating deals, the firm built a proprietary AI system, Aleph, that screens companies at scale using quantitative signals to identify potential investments and support decision-making with limited human involvement.
QuantumLight invests globally across AI, fintech, SaaS, healthtech, and deep tech, generally at the growth stage.
The firm reflects founder Nik Storonsky's broader thesis, also central to Revolut's own growth, that data-driven, systematic decision-making can outperform networks, relationships, and individual investor judgment as a way of identifying high-growth companies.
QuantumLight closed its second fund at $500 million in August 2026, an oversubscribed raise that surpassed its original target, according to CEO Ilya Kondrashov.
The close came around 15 months after the firm's $250 million debut fund, raised in May 2025, and roughly six months after reports first emerged that QuantumLight was preparing to raise again, a fast turnaround for a fund more than doubling in size before the results of its first vehicle can be fully measured.
Specific limited partners were not disclosed.
Leadership
The wider investment team includes Tommaso Conca (Principal), Dora Zikouli (Investor), and Louis Fontaine (Investor). QuantumLight describes its team as a mix of engineers, data scientists, quantitative traders, and company founders.
Investment Strategy
QuantumLight's central bet is that Aleph, its proprietary AI investment model, can consistently identify high-growth companies in an industry traditionally shaped by personal networks, founder relationships, and individual investor judgment.
Storonsky co-founded and continues to lead Revolut, the London-headquartered fintech he launched in 2015 with Vlad Yatsenko, and has applied a similarly data-led, metrics-driven operating philosophy to QuantumLight. QuantumLight's own track record remains short, its earliest investments are less than three years old, so the model's performance across a full venture cycle has not yet been tested.
