Seraphim Space is a London-based investment firm founded in 2016 and dedicated exclusively to the SpaceTech sector. It operates as a fully integrated platform spanning the entire innovation lifecycle, from early-stage venture funds and an accelerator program to a publicly listed growth vehicle on the London Stock Exchange. Since its founding, Seraphim has backed 149 companies across 33 countries, with portfolio companies collectively raising more than $10 billion and nine reaching unicorn status.
Seraphim focuses on SpaceTech companies that combine satellite and space infrastructure capabilities with artificial intelligence, dual-use defense and security technologies, climate resilience applications, life sciences using microgravity, and next-generation space infrastructure. The firm sees space technology as a foundational layer for defense, connectivity, and data intelligence rather than a standalone vertical, and targets companies building at the intersection of space-derived data and the industries that depend on it.
Seraphim Space Ventures II (SSV II) closed in February 2026 at over $100M, exceeding its original target. The fund began deploying capital in 2024 and has already backed 17 companies across the US and Europe.
Key limited partners include the British Business Bank, the National Security Strategic Investment Fund, satellite operator Arabsat (which invested $5M through Aljazira Capital), and existing strategic partners Eutelsat, NEC, and SKY Perfect JSAT.
The LP base reflects a deliberate shift from traditional aerospace corporates toward a broader set of industries that rely on resilient connectivity and real-time space-derived data. SSV II targets Seed and Series A investments in companies driving commercialization and technological acceleration in the space sector, with a current pipeline of 30 portfolio companies planned. The fund builds on SSV I, which delivered a 3x return and generated five exits, including four IPOs.
Leadership
Mark Boggett is the CEO and co-founder of Seraphim Space. He transitioned from public markets tech investing to venture capital to work hands-on with early-stage companies, and was among the first investors to build an integrated SpaceTech ecosystem combining corporate partners, government agencies, an accelerator, and VC funds. James Bruegger is co-founder and CIO of Seraphim Space Manager LLP and was an early venture capital investor in ICEYE, LeoLabs, and D-Orbit, and led investments in Spire Global and AST SpaceMobile ahead of their public listings. Rob Desborough is a partner and co-founder of the Seraphim Space Accelerator, leading early-stage investments across the platform.
Investment Strategy
Seraphim is comfortable acting as either lead investor or strategic co-investor, and targets Seed and Series A rounds. Check sizes range from $250K to $25M, with a typical deployment of around $3M per investment. The firm's integrated platform gives portfolio companies access to corporate LP networks spanning satellite operators, defense contractors, and technology companies, which can accelerate pilots, customer introductions, and follow-on fundraising. Seraphim also runs the Seraphim Space Accelerator, one of the world's largest accelerator programs dedicated to SpaceTech, which has helped its alumni raise more than $830M. This pipeline feeds directly into the venture funds.

Other
Seraphim also manages the Seraphim Space Investment Trust (SSIT), a publicly listed vehicle on the London Stock Exchange focused on growth-stage SpaceTech companies at Series B through D. This gives the firm a unique position across the full capital stack, from accelerator through public markets. For founders at the earliest stages, the Seraphim Space Accelerator is a direct entry point into the Seraphim ecosystem. Seraphim also maintains a proprietary global market intelligence engine tracking the SpaceTech landscape, which informs its investment thesis and supports portfolio companies with market positioning.
