Silicon Road Ventures (SRV) is an Atlanta-based early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2019 by Sid Mookerji, focused exclusively on commerce technology. The firm partners with founders building the future of commerce across retail, brands, manufacturers, and CPG companies. SRV has backed over 30 startups to date and operates offices in Atlanta, GA and Mumbai, India.
SRV launched a dedicated India-focused fund, extending SRV's commerce tech thesis into the Indian market with a specific focus on B2B Agentic AI.
The India fund invests in early-stage startups building Agentic AI solutions in the B2B commerce technology space. Key focus areas include multi-channel commerce, supply chain and logistics, fintech, consumer insights, and retail operations. The fund targets companies enabling digital transformation and operational efficiency for retailers, brands, manufacturers, and CPG companies. Technologies with cross-border potential, particularly those transferable to the US market, are a priority, with SRV providing access to US leadership, infrastructure, and follow-on funding for qualifying portfolio companies.
The new India-focused fund completed its first close in May 2026. The fund is already deploying capital. The fund is backed by a base of LP investors including leading CPG companies.
Leadership
Sid Mookerji is Managing Partner and founder of Silicon Road Ventures. Prior to SRV, he co-founded and served as CEO of Software Paradigms International (SPI), a retail technology company operating across five continents, which was acquired by Cognizant in 2018.
He also runs the Silver Spirit Global LLC Family Office and the Mookerji Foundation, which operates the Mookerji Innovation Fund with BITS Pilani and Kennesaw State University, providing non-dilutive funding to student-founded companies. Ross Kimbel is General Partner, formerly with The Coca-Cola Company's venture arm.
Frank Tighe is General Partner, a two-time entrepreneur with a public market exit who later led Georgia Tech's incubator, the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). Ajay Mahajan is Managing Director and Partner leading India investments, with over 30 years of experience in banking and financial services including leadership roles at Bank of America, Yes Bank, UBS, and IDFC, and most recently served as MD & CEO of CARE Ratings. Deeksha Narendra Kumar serves as Head of India Investments. Gaurav Thakker is Principal.
Investment Strategy
SRV invests at seed and Series A and continues to back portfolio companies through follow-on rounds. The India AIF extends this model into the Indian market, targeting agentic commerce infrastructure and AI-led transformation of retail and enterprise operations. The fund leverages SRV's existing LP relationships with CPG companies to support portfolio companies with go-to-market access and cross-border scale.
