SuperSeed is a London-based seed-stage venture capital firm founded in 2018 by Mads Jensen and Dan Bowyer, both former technology company founders with over 25 years of combined experience building, scaling, and exiting businesses. The firm focuses on Physical AI, artificial intelligence applied to real-world industrial sectors, and backs technical founders at the earliest stages across the UK and Europe. SuperSeed has backed 38 companies across two funds and is now deploying its third.
SuperSeed invests in two categories of company under Fund III. The first targets companies transforming today's industries, manufacturing, construction, logistics, agriculture, and energy, by applying AI to physical infrastructure and workflows. The second targets European frontier categories including space, quantum, and fusion, where AI is the unlock that turns deep scientific research into commercial leadership. The firm backs technical founders building companies with hard problems, real customers, and durable competitive positions.
SuperSeed Fund III completed its first close at £40 million ($51M) in April 2026, anchored by the British Business Bank through its Enterprise Capital Funds programme, which committed up to £50 million as a cornerstone investment. A further £20 million is committed toward final close, against a £80 million target. Fund III has not yet reached final close. The British Business Bank previously anchored SuperSeed's Fund II in 2022.
The fund's first investment is All3, a London company applying AI design, robotic factories, and an autonomous on-site robot to rebuild the construction industry.
Leadership
Mads Jensen is Managing Partner and co-founder. Prior to SuperSeed, he founded Sefaira, a SaaS company taken from inception in 2009 to exit in 2016, and previously held an executive role at IBM. He has also authored multiple US patents. Dan Bowyer is Partner and co-founder. The broader team includes Andrew Sherlock (Managing Director), Elena Klijn (Principal), Mia Grosen (Venture Partner), Jamie Giles (Senior Associate), Nick Sopuch (Senior Associate), Harriet Ball (Head of Talent), Pepe Lopez (Digital), and Serena Potts (Operations).
Investment Strategy
SuperSeed invests at pre-seed and seed stage, leading rounds and taking an active role with portfolio companies from inception. The firm's thesis centers on Physical AI as a distinct and underinvested category, moving beyond software into the physical systems that run the economy. The British Business Bank's Enterprise Capital Funds programme, through which it has supported 52 venture funds and more than £2.7 billion in capital, has returned to SuperSeed as cornerstone investor for a second consecutive fund.
