THENA Capital is a London-based early-stage MedTech venture fund founded by Dr. Pamela Walker Geddes, Esther Reynal de St Michel Richardot, and Tatum Getty. The firm is built on the thesis that UK MedTech produces world-class science and clinical innovation but systematically lacks the specialist, commercially-minded, transatlantically-connected capital needed to scale. Fund I closed at ~$57M USD (£45M) in June 2026, anchored by the British Business Bank's Enterprise Capital Funds programme, making THENA the first all-female GP-led ECF-backed fund. The LP base is over 50% female, composed of healthcare leaders, pharma executives, specialist investors, operators, and family offices.
THENA backs early-stage UK MedTech companies across digital health platforms and fast-track medical devices, with a focus on validated technology addressing critical clinical needs in chronic conditions, women's health, oncology, mental health, and care delivery.
The fund targets companies with credible commercialisation pathways and the ambition to scale from UK origination into global, particularly US, markets. THENA provides hands-on commercialisation support and transatlantic go-to-market access as core value-add alongside capital.
THENA Capital Fund I reached final close at ~$57M USD (£45M) in June 2026, anchored by the British Business Bank's ECF programme. Additional LPs include healthcare leaders, pharma executives, specialist investors, operators, and family offices.
The fund will back approximately 25 early-stage companies with initial cheques of $500K–$1M at seed stage. Five companies have been backed in the first year of deployment: Plexāā (BLOOM⁴³), Salient Bio, Sanome, Heim, and Zonova.
