TMV is a New York, San Francisco, and London-based early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2016 by Soraya Darabi and Marina Hadjipateras. Since inception, TMV has grown to more than 50 investments across AI, healthcare, maritime, and logistics, with $230 million in assets under management and portfolio companies that have collectively raised over $1 billion in follow-on funding. With the launch of TMV Logistics in May 2026, the firm has established a dedicated $200 million thematic vehicle focused exclusively on maritime and logistics innovation, anchored by American Bureau of Shipping and Prologis Ventures, two of the most strategically positioned institutions in global trade.
TMV Logistics backs pre-seed through Series A companies rebuilding the core infrastructure of maritime, shipbuilding, ports, and intermodal logistics across five technology themes: industrial-grade autonomy and operationally resilient systems; verticalized robotics for real-world deployment; operational AI for decision-making and orchestration; maritime dual-use technologies; and energy transition and next-generation fuels.
The fund's launch is timed to a generational shift in maritime and industrial infrastructure. US federal shipbuilding investment has grown from $33.35 billion in FY2024 to $47.3 billion in FY2026, with $65.8 billion proposed for FY2027. South Korea and Japan have committed over $150 billion to expanded shipbuilding capacity. Ports and intermodal logistics networks face simultaneous pressure from geopolitical disruption, energy volatility, and labor constraints, accelerating adoption of automation, AI, robotics, and alternative energy systems.
TMV's broader fund invests across AI and automation, health and bio, and logistics and maritime at pre-seed through Series A.
TMV Logistics launched at $200 million in May 2026, anchored by strategic commitments from American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), the global leader in maritime classification and technical advisory services, founded in 1862 — and Prologis Ventures, the strategic investment arm of Prologis (NYSE: PLD), the world's leading logistics real estate company with over $235 billion in assets under management and more than $300 million deployed across 50+ portfolio companies. ABS and Prologis Ventures will serve as active strategic collaborators, supporting diligence, shaping product development, and acting as potential customers, design partners, and ecosystem integrators for portfolio companies. Whether the $200 million represents a target or a final close has not been disclosed.
TMV's prior fund brought total AUM to $230 million ahead of TMV Logistics.
