WEH Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm based in Mumbai, investing in category-creating founders building what the market doesn't yet have. Founded in 2017, the firm has built a portfolio of more than 30 companies through two prior funds.
WEH Ventures invests at the pre-seed and seed stages in India-focused startups building for customers in India and abroad.
Historically rooted in consumer and fintech, the firm is expanding into advanced manufacturing, agriculture, energy transition, artificial intelligence, and healthcare, targeting categories that do not yet exist rather than established playbooks.
Fund III plans to back 20 to 25 early-stage companies.
On September 29, 2026, WEH Ventures announced the first close of its third fund at approximately $26M, against a target corpus of $34M.
The firm expects a final close by mid-2027.
Early backers in the first close include Play Capital, a Nordic fund-of-funds, along with family offices Eraya, Twin & Bull Investments, and Heritage Investments, and executives from Thermax, Haleon, Lenovo, PNB MetLife, Arlo, and Intuitive Surgical.
Fund III follows WEH Ventures I (2017), which returned 1.4x capital, and Fund II (2020), which posted a 20% net IRR and returned capital to LPs with one exit, both ranking above top-quartile performance.
